General School Rules

Violation of the following school rules could result in consequences that include detention, community service, restitution, campus beautification, opportunity transfer.  Violators also jeopardize their eligibility to participate in non-academic special events and activities like school dances, carnivals, culmination, etc.

  • Students must always carry their HALLWAY PASSPORT (inside planner-signed and dated by their teacher) when outside the classroom, no matter how short the distance or time.
  • Students may not leave the class during the first or last 10 minutes of the period.
  • Students are required to accurately identify themselves when requested by any school personnel.
  • Students may not walk around and visibly carry ipods/ mp3 players, games/cards, cameras, skateboards, or other non-school related materials. Adults may confiscate such items and hold them until a parent/guardian can retrieve it.
  • Students may not use cell phones on campus during school hours. Students who carry cell phones must keep them turned off, and away at all times. Violations may result in the phone being confiscated and retained for the remainder of the week or five school days.
  • Students must walk bikes and skateboards on campus and lock them up in the designated areas.
  • Students should be in school uniform at all times.  PE uniforms are not to be worn as the school uniform. 
  • Students cannot sell or distribute goods to students on campus. Items or goods and profits may be confiscated and turned over to the student store. 
  • Gang signs, written, visual, verbal displays or anything associated with gangs are not acceptable.
  • Students must eat all food in the igloo lunch area. No food may be taken to the classroom buildings or onto the PE field.
  • Threatening, fighting, play fighting or games where students hit, grab or push each other will not be tolerated.
  • Profanity and vulgar gestures in any language is unacceptable.
  • Any form of harassment: visual, physical and/or sexual will not be tolerated.  (Note: pantsing is a form of sexual harassment.)
  • Possession of or sharing of offensive, intimidating or embarrassing written or pictorial material
  • Graffiti/vandalism to public or private property is not allowed and violators may be subject to pay for damages. 
  • Theft or receiving stolen items will not be tolerated.
  • Unlawful possession, use, sale, or distribution of any known or perceived controlled substance, intoxicant or paraphernalia of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Possessing, brandishing, selling or distributing a dangerous weapon or an imitation will not be tolerated.
