To be included in the photo, make sure you:
✅ Wear your white or black polo shirt
✅ Arrive on time to school – the picture will be taken early in the morning!

I am excited to extend an opportunity for interested Employees/Staff Members to SELF-NOMINATE to be an integral participant on Peary MS 2025-2026 School Site Council, one of our Governance Councils. The School Site Council (SSC) is mandated under California Education Code 65000, and its governing body makes decisions regarding the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), The Comprehensive School Safety Plan, Categorical Funding and Expenditures, along with other fiscal related matters. If you are interested, please self-nominate by clicking the link and completing the application no later than September 15, 2025 by 3:00pm.

We encourage you to make a difference in the governance of our school by participating on this year’s (2025-2026) English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). Listening, elevating, and acting upon the voices of our students and community members promotes deeper engagement and improves our ability to serve responsively. If interested please complete the form to self-nominate.
California Education Code 52176(b) states that all schools with twenty-one or more English Learner (EL) students, not including Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP) students, are required to establish an ELAC. The School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) is developed with the review, certification, and advice of the ELAC and submitted to the SSC for inclusion of ELs in the SPSA. The ELAC consists of parents/legal guardians of ELs, not employed by LAUSD.

Los motivamos a marcar la diferencia en el gobierno escolar al participar este año en el Comité Asesor para los Aprendices de Inglés (ELAC, por sus siglas en inglés). Escuchar, elevar, y actuar en base a las voces de nuestros estudiantes y miembros de la comunidad fomentan un compromiso más profundo y mejora nuestra capacidad para prestar un servicio receptivo.
El Código de Educación de California 52176(b), señala que las escuelas con más de veinte uno (21) estudiantes que son aprendices de inglés, sin incluir a los estudiantes Reclasificados como Competentes en el Idioma Inglés (RFEP), deben establecer un ELAC. Se desarrolla el Plan Escolar para el Rendimiento Académico Estudiantil (SPSA) con la revisión, certificación, asesoramiento de ELAC y se presenta al SSC para la inclusión de los estudiantes aprendices de inglés en el SPSA. ELAC está integrado por padres o tutores legales de aprendices de inglés, que no son empleados de LAUSD.
