Please join us on Thursday, November 2 for High School Information Night, at 6pm in the auditorium. We have invited the following high schools to present information about their programs, how to enroll into their high school, and requirements for participating in various electives, sports, and activities: Banning High; Gardena High; Carson HIgh; Narbonne High; Harbor Teacher Prep Academy; CAMS; King Drew; Middle College High; San Pedro High; and more. Dear 8^th Grade Huskies,

Next Week Wednesday, October 25, 2023 during Period 1 you will be taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT). The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) is structured similarly to the SAT, has the same sections and timing, and measures the same Reading and Writing and Math skills students learn in the classroom—the knowledge and skills your child needs to succeed in college and career. The PSAT is now digital so please bring a fully charged device to school with your charger. The PSAT test is easier to take, shorter, has more time per question, and comes with a built-in calculator. It can also qualify you for the National Merit Scholarship Program and other scholarships.
