Hello Peary Family,
This week our entire school will continue testing with the Smarter Balance (SBAC) English Language Arts (ELA) Test. Please encourage your child to get a good night's sleep, eat something for breakfast, bring a fully charged device, and arrive at school before 8:00 AM each day this week to ensure they can give their absolute best effort.
We are excited to announce our partnership with the Yondr Pouch Corporation to assist us in maintaining a secure testing environment. Some of you may already know that this is the same company used to secure phones at Bruno Mars and Dave Chappelle shows. We are excited to have Yondr as a community partner of Peary Middle School!
At the beginning of each testing session, your child will be asked to place all of their smart electronic devices, including but not limited to, cell phones, ear pods and smartwatches, into a secure Yondr pouch and lock it.
Each class will have access to an unlocking base for students to tap and unlock their pouch at the end of the testing session. Students will unlock the pouch, retrieve their devices and return the pouch to their teacher.
